New castaways are about to scheme, compete and backstab one another when "Survivor" returns for its 47th season.
The long-running reality competition show on CBS will feature 18 new contestants competing against each other in group and individual challenges until only one is left to claim the $1 million prize. Season 47 will once again take place in Fiji with host Jeff Probst, who has hosted the show since its debut in 2000.
The 90-minute "Survivor" episodes are also returning, as showrunners decided to continue with the lengthened runtime that debuted two seasons prior.
Here's what to know about "Survivor" Season 47, and how to watch when it premieres later this month.
When is the 'Survivor' Season 47 premiere?
Season 47 of "Survivor" will premiere with a two-hour episode on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Previous seasons are also available to stream on Paramount+.
'Survivor' Season 47 cast
CBS unveiled a first look at the cast of "Survivor" Season 47 earlier this month.
As has become the hallmark of the show, contestants hail from across the nation and come from a variety of backgrounds. Among them is an ER doctor, a flight attendant, a construction worker and an E-Sports commentator.
Viewers may recognize one notable person on the cast this season: Jon Lovett, a podcaster and co-founder of Crooked Media who was also a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama.
The 18 cast members will have to work together to build shelters, form alliances and win challenges, all while strategizing to vote one another out of the game.
Who won 'Survivor' Season 46?
In the season finale of "Survivor" 46, Kenzie Veurink, a 29-year-old hair salon owner from Michigan, won the title of "sole survivor" by a 5-3 vote over runner-up Charlie Davis.
Musician Ben Katzman, who was also part of the top three partaking in "final tribal," received no votes.
